Meet Mr. Lynn Frank, Entomologist

Lynn A. Frank BCE, Technical Director for Suburban Exterminating, first became interested in Biological Technology aspect of pest control while attending the State University of New York (SUNY) Farmingdale where he received a Associate of Science in Biological technology with a major in structural pest control. As an undergraduate, he was inspired by Dr. Austin Frishman, a medical entomologist and head of SUNY Farmingdale’s Entomology Department, to pursue an intensely satisfying career that would enable him to protect people’s homes, property and health. He  completed his bachelors degree in Biology through the NY Suny system. He also attended the School of Structural Fumigation at the University of Florida, an extensive program covering all technical aspects of structural fumigation.

Long Island Professional

Frank continues his personal and professional development through further education, seminars, training and memberships. He co-operated and took part in studies including DNA-based studies on bedbug research in cooperation with University of Kentucky and termite research in collaboration with University of North Carolina and EUP studies with Dow Agro Sciences. He is also a member of various associations including the Entomological Association of America, National Environmental Health Association, Integrated Pest Management (IPM Institute) of North America and Pi Chi Omega, a professional fraternity for the advancement of structural pest control. Frank participates in seminars hosted by the Professional Certified Applicators of Long Island, International IPM Symposium and The Green Symposium. His certifications include: Vector Borne Disease Control Certificate from Center for Disease Control, Certified Indoor Environmental Consultant, Level III Certified Thermographer from the Infraspection Institute, Board Certified Entomologist, LEED green Associate and Green Shield Certified.

Frank has also been an instructor at his alma mater, SUNY Farmingdale, and has published articles in Pest Control Magazine.  He is a presenter at Suburban Exterminating’s children’s program. We’re lucky that he works at Suburban Exterminating!
