About LIPCA’s Newest Director

You might say that Craig Byer is a busy bee at Suburban! Craig has been rescuing bees for many years by moving swarms of bees away from people’s homes.  These rescued bees are relocated. Craig keeps around 25 honey bee colonies in Cold Spring Harbor, Huntington, Commack, Smithtown. Deer Park, and Centerport.  He also donated the observation hive at the Hoyt Nature preserve. Craig hopes to attract more people to “this beautiful activity of keeping and utilizing bees and all they produce.”

Craig, congrats on being recently appointed LIPCA Director!
