Ant infestation on wood

Ants were the top topic of last week’s spring training program. Our training class was well attended with Paul Bello of PJB Pest Management as the guest speaker. Paul Bello is well known for his informative talks about ants and other pest management solutions. Mr. Bello holds a degree in Entomology from the University of Georgia as well as an MBA in Accounting from Adelphi University. Thank you for sharing your expertise, Mr. Bello!

Ant Invasions Around Long Island

Ant invasions will continue to increase as the weather warms up around Long Island. Michael of Hauppauge has reported “Have ants in living room, under window.”  Ginny of Bay Shore is “seeing ants in my kitchen and bathroom.” We’re also getting requests for help like this one from West Islip homeowner “small ants have been coming into my bedroom for the past 3-4 days where my newborn child sleeps.”

Did you know that ants are the most common pest encountered in homes? As social insects, ants live in colonies where they work for the good and welfare of the entire colony. The ant colony consists of the queen, workers, eggs, larvae, pupae and some males also known as drones. Sometimes, winged swarmer ants may be present within the colony.

It is important to determine what type of ant has invaded your home because different ants require different solutions. Call today for a free inspection and estimate (631) 864-6900 | (516) 864-6900 | (631) 287-6900

We’ll be glad to recommend a course of ant control and extermination. =)
