House Cricket Exterminator

House Cricket

House crickets have three dark bands across the top of their heads, and their slender antennae are much longer than the body.

Size: 3/4 to 7/8 of an inch long
Color: Yellow-brown or straw colored

Activity/Behavior:
House crickets are seldom a major problem in structures, as they prefer to live outside during warm weather. They move indoors when it gets colder and to find moisture. They damage clothing by eating large holes in the fabric.

Where They Live:
Crickets usually enter the home when being fed to pet snakes, and then they escape. They look for moisture and light. They are active at night.

Tips for Control:
They prefer tall grass and weeds, so advise the client to trim weeds and grass close to the ground. Baits are recommended.
