Activity/Behavior: This cockroach has not been able to become successfully established within northern states. Rather, it is common in southern states. They go as far west as Texas.
Where They Live: This cockroach prefers to inhabit warm, damp locations like steam tunnels and boiler rooms. In the summer, large numbers accumulate in outdoor locations (such as leaf litter, ground covers, trees, and dumps). In the fall, they migrate into surrounding structures.
Tips for Control: This cockroach requires intensive treatments to all areas of a residence. This cockroach is rarely seen in the Northeast and treatment methods should be discussed with the client by management.
